This part of the second floor used to house five miles of books, said Mark Pike (above), now all those books are in safe storage and this space will be used for a Math Emporium space.

If you thought the Kent State University Library was great before, you should see it now.

After several months of renovations, three floors of the library have reopened for business — and they're doing it in style.

The first floor boasts a new circulation desk, floor, wall color, layout and lobby. While the second floor offers tons of new study space, a foreign language lab and a soon-to-be Math Emporium. And there's still room to improve and grow. The 10th floor features a new reception and special collections paid for by a donation from the Gerald Read family.
