It was a dream season for the Kent State University Golden Flashes, who made their first-ever appearance in the College World Series this year.
That season ended Thursday when Kent State lost 4-1 to the two-time champion South Carolina Gamecocks.
Members of the community gathered at Dix Stadium Thursday night to welcome the team back to Kent from Omaha, NB.
