Toy, Food Drive for Kent Social Services

Collection boxes at multiple downtown Kent stores

 

Several downtown businesses are collecting new toys and non-perishable foods to support Kent Social Services during the holiday season.

You can drop off new, unwrapped toys and nonperishable food stuffs at the following locations:

Sue Nelson Designs
Woodsy's Music
Baked in the Village Cafe
Dominicks
Ray's Place
Hometown Bank
Image Consultants
Patricia Sparks, LPTA, LMT
Pufferbelly Restaurant
Kent Jewelry
City Bank Antiques
Franklin Square Deli

In addition, the businesses will be sponsoring a mass collection day on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hometown Plaza, where Woodsy's Music will provide a van for the collections.

Thank you Matt for posting this. Kent Social services said there is a great need this year and the items collected stay in Kent. They will also take gently used toys. There are also 3 other businesses collecting and they are Guy's Pizza, Hall Green Agency and Copy Print. Also on Saturday Dec. 8th Santa will be at the Hometown Bank Plaza from 2-4. So stop by and say hi to Santa and spread some holiday cheer to those in need in our own community.
