A huge fireworks display at Dix Stadium celebrated both downtown Kent's revitalization and the Kent State University 41-21 football home opener victory against Towson University Thursday.

The fireworks show, put on by American Fireworks of Hudson, OH, featured 7,500 rockets and is reportedly the largest-ever fireworks show in Portage County.
