The roundabout proposals are part of the overall Summit Street project, which will widen the road way to add turning lanes and improve traffic signal coordination with new stop lights along campus. The stretch of Summit Street between Lincoln Street and Loop Road is one of the most congested traffic corridors in the Summit and Portage county area.

The roundabouts are proposed for the intersections of Summit Street at Risman Drive and Ted Boyd Drive.
