Kent drivers who use Hudson Road in Franklin Township to get to and from the city will have to find another route for more than a month starting Wednesday.
Franklin Township officials will close Hudson Road between Ravenna Road and Newton Drive, starting Wednesday, for roadway improvement and repaving.
The road closure is expected to last until Sept. 15.
The work includes improving two vertical curves for proper sight distance, some roadway widening, a full depth rebuilding of the roadway base where necessary and improving of the roadway drainage, according to township officials. Local traffic will be maintained.
The posted detour route is is Ravenna Road to Seasons Road and then to Judson Road.
