Annual race hosted by Kent Parks & Recreation biggest ever
David Mars, 30, of Kent, won the overall during the 2012 Kent Parks and Recreation Tree City Turkey Trot with a time of 16 minutes 28 seconds.

Kent Parks and Recreation Director John Idone said this year was the biggest ever with more than 440 racers in the 5K and 40 children in the fun run.
The race was held Thanksgiving morning on the new leg of The Portage Hike and Bike Trail that runs along the Cuyahoga River between John Brown Tannery Park and Fred Fuller Park.
