POLL: Pick the Best Coffee in Kent

Readers Choice voting ends Aug. 17

We asked you to nominate the best coffee in Kent and now it's time to vote in our poll to determine the winner.

Local editor Matt Fredmonsky will choose the winner based solely on the number of votes in this poll. Voting ends Aug. 17.

Hi, Kasey. Just to clarify, Tree City Coffee & Pastry sells a variety of coffees from select local roasters. Although the Bent Tree guys are close friends of ours and we love their products, they're not the only local roaster we work alongside with.
All the best,

Quiet doesn't equal unfriendly. Start a conversation with him about farming or music or writing, and you'll be glad to know him.

I believe Tree City is Bent Tree also....maybe someone will straighten that out.
I find Bent Trees Columbian Supremo the best reason to get out of bed in the morning.

Scribbles is definitely the best around. Family owned, fair trade, awesome bakery, fantastic atmosphere. Tree City - ick. They taste just like Starbucks, which is nasty.

I've found the staff at Scribbles to be quite friendly, to be honest. And who doesn't love homemade muffins and pie with your coffee?

Bent Tree far surpasses any other coffee business in Kent and the surrounding areas . Not only is the coffee high quality and roasted to perfection, the owners are always friendly and knowledgeable. They are the best- hands down.

The best coffee is in my kitchen, ground from Eight O'Clock beans. No fancy flavors, just the original that my dad used to have perking in the morning when we came down for breakfast.

Best all around is Tree City. Always a fresh cup. Always a smile and greeting. It's not the customers responsibility to initiate the welcome greeting and Tree City gets that. They also know how to make a proper cup of tea and coffee. Thanks Tree City. I drive to kent from Lakewood to buy beans from you! Keep up the great work.
