POLL: Best Pizza in Kent

Readers Choice voting ends Aug. 17

We asked you to nominate the best pizza in Kent and now it's time to vote in our poll to determine the winner.

Local editor Matt Fredmonsky will choose the winner based solely on the number of votes in this poll. Voting ends Aug. 17.

The places you nominated are listed below. Thanks to everyone who nominated a business. The nomination period closed July 9, so if it's not included in the poll the business isn't eligible for a Readers' Choice award.

Winners will be announced Aug. 24 in all 25 categories.

So get voting, and help us pick the Readers’ Choice businesses in Kent!

We haven't bought pizza since Zeppe's was in town. It's been years. Thanks to their inability one day to deliver a pizza in under 2 hours, our family started kneading dough and tossing those saucey, cheese covered babies in the oven. I will never shell out any dough (haha) for crappy pizza ever again. And trust me, anyone who makes their own dough and bakes their own pizza will understand what I'm talking about as they will vote their pizza the best in Kent, too. You can't beat fresh, homemade perfection! Plus, you can put any and all toppings on the pie you want. Get crazy, or say cheese please, it's all good!
Bakers, start your ovens!!!

I'm surprised we don't have more options considering how many pizza places we have around here.

If I'm not mistaken, the author asked for nominations and Guys and Euro Gyro were the only ones nominated.

I don't understand why Kent Patch waits for readers to nominate businesses. It would make a lot more sense for the Patch to list the hot spots and then let readers vote on them. There are always lots of great places left out of the running. And in the comments section of almost every poll, frustrated readers point this out.

We ran a two-week nomination period in July during which time readers were invited to nominate their favorite businesses in more than 20 categories, including pizza. During that two-week span these were the only nominations we received.

If Euro Gyro and Guys were the only pizza places nominated from the 2 dozen or so pizza places in Kent...then I have to question the validity of any poll contributor (or poll) on Kent Patch...I went to both of these pizza places since this poll to "test out the products" and am very sorry to say...both are sub-par!
