The 68-unit Maple Brook at Four Seasons senior housing project planned adjacent to KentRidge at Golden Pond received site plan approval from the Kent Planning Commission Tuesday.
Cleveland-baseed NRP Group plans to break ground by November or December of this year on the project, which will be built at 5241 Sunnybrook Road.
Joseph McCabe, project manager for NRP Group, said the project is on track to open by December 2013.
"We actually are receiving calls at our office already," McCabe said of interest in the project.
The units are targetted specifically for low-income seniors and in April the Ohio Housing Finance Agency awarded $1.2 million for the project. The housing will be targeted at seniors with a yearly income ranging from $15,000 to $30,000.
