New Holiday Decorations Go Up Downtown
Main Street Kent adds to city's annual lights display
New decorations are adorning downtown Kent as an expansion of the annual Holiday Lights program thanks to Main Street Kent and a handful of donors.
Decorative skylines, wreaths and giant snowflakes are being added to downtown intersections and light posts.
The new decorations will be lit on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24.
Kent service workers have been hanging the new decorations all week.

Did we have lanterns on the garlands before? Seems to me I remember one time, on a dark rainy night, mistaking one of those lanterns for a red light.

I thought the lights were to brighten the city due to daylight saving time?
Whatever the reason, they are very welcoming.
