Kent Police continue their search for the identify of a man killed by a train early Sunday morning near Middlebury Road.

Kent Police Capt. Paul Canfield said they've had little luck identifying the man who was struck on the CSX Transportation Co. railroad tracks about 1 mile north of Middlebury Road Sunday.

"Since the incident we’ve gotten a few tips, but nothing has panned out so far," Canfield said.

The man was struck just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday on the railroad tracks near The Portage Hike and Bike Trail.

"We suspect that he was committing suicide at this point," Canfield said.

The victim is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 187 pounds with a thin to medium build, shoulder-length dark hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and Converse brand black canvas shoes.

The man is between the ages of 20 and 30 and wears a size 12 shoe.

Anyone with information about the victim can call Kent Police at 330-673-7732.

How sad, isn't anyone missing him? I always hurt when I see that anyone has committed suicide...didn't he/she have someone they could talk to?....to think your life is so bad and that you are worthless......I hope his family can be found, so that he can be laid to rest.
