Kent State's Fall Aviation Fair Moved to Spring

The air show is normally in the fall, but this year it has been moved to April because it will coincide with two alumni events

Since alumni will be in town in April, the Aviation Heritage Fair at the Kent Sate University Airport has been moved to the spring instead of this fall. 

The annual event is normally in the fall, but to coincide with two events put on by Kent State's College of Technology and its Aeronautics Program, the air show will be April 21, 2012. 

"The new spring date allows Kent State alumni who will be attending the Richard Schwabe Golf Outing April 20, 2012, and the Vision 21 Banquet on April 21, 2012, to join community members to enjoy an all-day event of aviation activities, a pancake breakfast, airplane rides, music and entertainment, as well as meet aviation scholars, enthusiasts and industry professionals," according to a press release issued by the university.

The Aviation Heritage Fair features activities for both the flight enthusiast and casual fan. Event admission and parking are free. There is a cost for airplane rides.

The event is run by the faculty, staff and students of the university’s Aeronautics Program with help from the .
