Kent Residents Earn Degrees, on Area Dean's List
The following information was provided by the individual colleges
The following Kent residents earned degrees this fall or a spot on the Dean's list at their colleges:
- Adam Leffler of Kent, OH, has earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Adam was among approximately 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 242nd commencement exercises.
The following area residents graduated from the University of Mount Union on May 5.
- Kimberly Slone of Kent, Ohio earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. Kimberly graduated with magna cum laude honors. Kimberly is also a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School.
- Kassandra Turner of Kent, Ohio earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese. Kassandra is also a graduate of Field High School.
The following students have been named to the Dean's List at Youngstown State University for the spring 2012 semester:
- Jomara Murillo of Kent, OH, majoring in Accounting.
- Alicia Colage of Kent, OH, majoring in Forensic Science.
To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must carry a semester grade point average of 3.4 or better and take a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit.
