Davey Elementary School received a "continuous improvement" rating from the state.
Franklin Elementary School was rated "effective" by the state.
Holden Elementary School was rated "effective" by the state.
Longcoy Elementary School received the state's highest rating, "excellent with distinction," for the 2010-2011 school year.
Stanton Middle School was rated "effective" by the state.
Theodore Roosevelt High School improved its state report card rating to "excellent."
Walls Elementary School was rated "effective" by the state.
Overall, the Kent City Schools district received an "effective" rating for 2010-2011.

The big news for Kent in this year's 2010-2011 state report cards is that rankings improved for both Longcoy Elementary School and Theodore Roosevelt High School.

But how did Kent's other schools rank?

Attached to this article you'll find the individual reports for each of the Kent City Schools buildings.

Aside from the high school and Longcoy, all of the district's schools were rated "effective" by the state with the exception of Davey Elementary School, which received a "continuous improvement" rating for the 2010-2011 school year.

The overall district earned an "effective" rating for 2010-2011. The individual buildings were rated as follows:
