Funky Ladles Closed Temporarily
Restaurant repairing equipment, cleaning shop according to Facebook page
Popular Kent soup shop Funky Ladles is closed temporarily, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
The shop covered its windows and kept the doors locked Tuesday to repair its hot buffet table and "retool," according to a post by management on its Facebook page.
Fans of the eatery can expect it to reopen on Monday, Feb. 4.
"What is in store next week for our loyal fanbase is a slew of new offerings," management wrote on the Facebook page. "We are sacrificing this week of commerce to bring to the table some exciting additions that will only help solidify what most of you are already well aware of: Funky Ladles cares."

haven't been back to that place since reading the owner's comments posted on "patch" the last time he temporarily closed.

The owner had an issue with the ongoing construction....my opinion is that he felt it should have been progressing faster.

closed again. new changes. discontinued services. how can you build a loyal customer base when this keeps going on? when they started serving breakfast in December, I was all on board, but it didn't last even a week.

How can they operate a business being closed all the time?! It's so disappointing. Enjoyed it when I went, but it's frustrating when they're closed every time I have tried to go back after that....so I just stopped.
