Franklin Elementary School is trailing in a national contest for a paint makeover of the school after leading earlier this month.
The school is one of five finalists Glidden Paint selected out of several hundred nominations for Glidden's "Colorful Classrooms Contest." Glidden received more than 320 nominations from schools in 43 states.
Franklin was in third place as of Tuesday morning and was trailing schools in New Mexico and Mississippi. The school has received more than 10,000 votes so far.
Online voting ends Friday.
If Franklin Elementary wins, the school could get up to 200 gallons of paint applied to walls inside the building completely free of charge.
