Firefighters responded to an electrical fire on the Kent State University campus today, according to the university.
Kent State spokesperson Emily Vincent said in an email an electrical fault in the underground distribution occurred in an electrical room in the Tri Towers Rotunda.
"There was smoke but no flames and no injuries," she said.
Power was shut off to Harbourt Hall, Van Campen Hall and DeWeese Health Center to safeguard workers as they explored the cause and determined repairs, Vincent said.
Power has been restored to all campus buildings.
