In downtown Kent, it's officially the holiday season. On Saturday, residents, city officials and members of the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce flipped the switch to light up Home Savings Plaza, and welcomed Santa to town.
The Festival of Lights started at 5:30 p.m. with the Theodore Roosevelt High School ACES Choir and then Santa arrived on a train to hundreds of cheering children.
