Downtown Kent businesses will host the annual Family Friendly Halloween on Friday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at participating businesses.
Free pizza will be at Hometown Bank Plaza where a costume contest, autographs from the Kent State men's baseball team and candy will be available.
The Kent Jaycees will host a haunted dance party in the Marvin Kent train car next to the Pufferbelly.
And families and children can enter their carved jack-o-lanterns in a contest at Earl's Nest in Acorn Alley.
