Family-Friendly Dining: This Week's Readers' Choice
Your comments wanted: Where do you take kids out to eat?
Thinking of taking the family out to dinner? Have young kids? You're going to want to know if the restaurant is family-friendly.
This is the place where they have crayons and coloring books for impatient diners ... where the wait staff gives you extra napkins -- unasked ... where there's no gasps when glasses invariably get knocked over or food falls on the floor. Where they have high chairs, booster seats and budget-conscious prices.
Beginning today -- March 19 -- and through 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, we'll be asking for your recommendations of the best places to take the family out to eat.
Give us your recommendation in the comments section below. With your help, we'll put together a list of nominees. Then look for our poll on Thursday, March 22 and vote!
We'll select a winner at 5 p.m. Friday, March 23 and announce it in a story on Saturday, March 24.
In judging, we'll consider comments, poll votes and reviews/ratings in Patch Places, our complete directory of local businesses. Be sure to check out our contest rules by clicking on the PDF in this article. And show us your parent savvy!

I eat out only once a year, on my birthday, but I do love the Hartville Kitchen! Hubby tells me my cooking is better than any restaurant he could take me to (tee-hee!).

We dont dine out. Cant really afford to. I will pick up a pizza every now and again. I wish I could dine out more often and support local businesses.
@mary alice: your hubby is probably right-- your cooking tastes better AND it's probably healthier.

Mike's Place by far takes the cake. They are visual overload for all ages. You eat in a castle with an X wing fighter parked out front. The food is consistant and filled with options for picky eaters and if your lucky you can drive the bus or the boat. How does it get any better than that.
