Part of their sentences, if they are convicted, of course, should be to get a full-time job and hold it for one year. Does anyone else wonder how many who receive that judicial order actually do it? Will someone really hire these gentlemen? Does anyone else also wonder what happens to those who don't comply? Does the court even know?

A court can not order one to obtain employment. It's unconstitutional.

I know what happens to those who do not comply, probation violates them and they are sent back to jail. The court does keep track once they are convicted of something, and trust me, they aren't lax. It is getting them convicted in the first place that is the issue or getting the drug task force to go after a house. I've personally turned in a house several times that I know is dealing in various drugs, in the presence of young children even, and has been for years. They are still in business.

Response to Troy McClure: Record-Courier story, page A8, Sunday, May 13, states that included in the sentence of a man for selling cocaine is an order to find a full time job.
At least that's what I think it says. Perhaps I am wrong. I have not yet finished my first cup of coffee.
