'Celebrate Kent!' Grant Money Recommendations

Kent City Council votes to accept city staff recommendations; final vote in two weeks

 

Kent City Council voted this week to accept the recommendations of city staff for grant awards for the Celebrate Kent! grant program.

The city received almost $37,000 in grant requests this year. A total $30,000 is available for disbursement.

The money is not directly given to the sponsors of the event. Rather, event organizers will be reimbursed after receipts are turned in.

Council will vote during its regular committee meeting later this month to finalize the awards.

The groups, their requests and recommended awards break down as follows:

Once again KSU events gets more grant money--wake up Kent citizens and see that the City of Kent gives more to KSU than us.
