Building Permits: 'Signs' of Downtown's Redevelopment
All information is according to the Kent Community Development Department
Several of downtown Kent's new tenants recently got permission to install signs on their new store and business fronts from the city.
Here's the latest batch of building permits issued by the Kent Community Development Department:
- College Town Kent LLC, 295 S. Water St., suite 300, signage for Davey Resource Group, $8,114
- Fairmount Properties, 100 E. Erie St., suite 118, signs for UniversiTEES, no cost listed
- College Town Kent LLC, 295 S. Water St., signs for Panini's, $10,000
- Fairmount Properties, 100 E. Erie St., suite 200, AMETEK sign, no cost listed
- Rebecca Wert, 1143 Erin Drive, 18 feet by 20 feet deck (including 12 feet by 14 feet sunroom), $14,800
- Donna Oneil, 728 Stinaff St., repairs to house from impact of car, $10,000
- Rilla Wages, 845 Middlebury Road, fire damage repairs, $30,000

although it probably makes it easier to swap out after a store goes out of business due to, among other things, poor signage. (note to dog squad: i'll never wait 20 minutes for a hot dog and fries again. in an empty restaurant, no less!)
